Just kidding! There wasn’t really an uprising in Laredo, Texas, but a fun meet-up for more than 40 foster children (ages 7 to 18) and their foster families at Laredo’s Jett Bowl North bowling alley.
Our Foster In Texas (FIT) staff and families had a full afternoon of fun – with time to spare – socializing, knocking down some pins, and eating pizza in a lively, entertaining environment. Some of the kids (and a few parents) couldn’t resist dancing when familiar pop songs played in the background. The Laredo FIT staff supervised, and included Area Director Oscar Guerra and Family Social Workers Priscilla Ruiz, Angie Villarreal, Mayra Guzman, and Mary Jasso. They all agreed this event was right up their alley and proved to be an unbowlievable experience for our foster children in Laredo!
Activities for foster families like this one are made possible by fundraisers and donations to our foster care program. It’s just one reason foster parents choose LSS-Foster In Texas as their agency of choice!
